Make a Mortmain or a Tallis at the Village Haberdashery
Are you keen to get going with one of our patterns but would like a bit of a helping hand? We’ve got just the solution!
Why not take a sewing class at the lovely Village Haberdashery shop in Hampstead, London? They are currently offering classes in both of our patterns - the Tallis collar on the 15th July and the Mortmain dress on the 5th, 12th and 19th August.
The Tallis collar class is perfect if you’re a complete beginner or need a refresher course if you’re machine has been gathering dust for a while… Taught by the brilliant Rachel from House of Pinheiro, the class covers finding your way around a sewing machine, reading a pattern and completing your collar in your choice of fabric. The Mortmain dress class is spread over three evenings, giving you lots of time to perfect techniques including fitting a bodice and waistband, box pleats and inserting an exposed zip. Taught by (another!) Rachel, you can see her lovely version of the Mortmain here.
