A Festival of Textiles
There may still be many weeks left of this glorious summer that we’re having in the UK, but our minds are already fast forwarding to September when we’ll be in lovely Farnham, Surrey for 2 days of textiles, artisan fabrics, haberdashery and workshops.

In our humble opinion, The Mortmain is a really versatile dress pattern which works in a variety of colours and prints.
Lovely Lovely Haberdashery…
We just love the planning stages of sewing - oohing and ahhing over fabrics and haberdashery and plotting the final details of our makes. It’s all part of the fun of dressmaking, and the beauty of making your own clothes is that you can choose JUST the finishing touches that you want.

Magazines for me are a real luxury and I don’t think there’s anything better than an unread magazine and an hour to yourself (that’s a mother of two small children talking!). I’ve been given subscriptions as a present before and it was the gift that kept giving - quite literally, every month. You can get subscriptions to most of these but even one issue would make an amazing present.
